    The Willimantic River flows from Stafford Springs to Willimantic .The river is stocked annually with trout. The section from the junction of Roaring Brook to the Rt 74 Bridge in Tolland is a Fly fishing only Catch and release water.

    The Salmon River sits in the south central part of the state. The river flows through a large portion of state forest land. From the confluence of the Jeremy and Blackledge Rivers to Route 16 in Colchester, CT, is a trout management area.
